What it does

This is a modelling, or rubber, mask: the powder is mixed with water in a one-to-one ratio, spread thickly over the face and peeled away once set. Pixcell Biom, PURCELL's concentrated ferment complex labelled at 2 billion per millilitre, is joined by hydrolysed collagen, allantoin and sodium hyaluronate for a hydrating, soothing treatment. As it sets it cools the skin, giving an instant cooling feel that is welcome on red, hot or sensitive skin, and helps lift surface impurities from pores. Afterwards skin feels smooth, plump and not sticky, with a more refined-looking texture and a fresher tone, and it works well as a prep mask before make-up.

How to use

Mix equal parts powder and cool water in a bowl until smooth, apply a thick, even layer over clean, dry skin, avoiding the eyes and lips, and leave for 15 to 20 minutes until fully set. Peel off from the edges and follow with your usual serum and cream. Use once or twice a week. Patch-test first.
