A leave-on clarifying solution with salicylic and lactic acid. 15ml.

What it does

Two acids covering different ground. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble, so it works inside the pore — which is why it suits congestion rather than dullness. Lactic acid is water-soluble and the gentlest of the alpha hydroxy acids, working at the surface with less sting than glycolic.

15ml is a small bottle because it's a treatment used sparingly on congested areas, not a toner swept over the whole face. Skin looks clearer and feels smoother where it's applied.

How to use

On clean, dry skin in the evening, apply to congested areas — usually nose, chin and forehead — rather than the whole face. Start two or three nights a week and build up. Don't use it on the same night as retinol or another acid.

Wear broad-spectrum SPF every morning; acids increase sun sensitivity.

Who it is for

For oily and combination skin with congestion. Persistent or painful spots deserve a GP appointment rather than a stronger product — there are prescription treatments that work, and early treatment prevents scarring. Not for use on broken or irritated skin, or during pregnancy without medical advice. Patch-test first.
