What it does

Two sides, two jobs. The mesh side lightly smooths surface texture as you sweep it over the skin; the smooth gel side is soaked in essence and can be left on the face for three to five minutes as a short mask. That makes one product cover two steps, which is the practical argument for pads over a bottle — no measuring, no cotton wool, and the right amount every time.

The essence is built on GIM — the Korean word for laver seaweed, the same thing wrapped around gimbap — grown off Wando in the south of the country, and used here as the PDRN source. Alongside it, PHA and LHA are the gentlest members of the acid family: larger molecules than glycolic, so they work more slowly at the surface and suit skin that can't tolerate stronger exfoliants. Hyaluronic acid and peptides handle the moisture side.

How to use

After cleansing, sweep the mesh side over the face, avoiding the eye area, then press the gel side onto anywhere that needs more and leave three to five minutes. Daily use is fine given how mild the acids are, but start every other day if your skin is reactive. Follow with serum and moisturiser, and wear sunscreen every morning — any acid increases sun sensitivity.
