Vitality Extracts Helichrysum Balm is a 57g five-ingredient balm of olive oil, almond oil, white and yellow beeswax, helichrysum essential oil and vitamin E, suited to very dry, rough or weather-worn skin on hands, feet, elbows and body.
What it does
The ingredient list is five lines long. Olive and sweet almond oils give the balm its rich, slow-absorbing feel, beeswax seals that moisture against the skin, and helichrysum (Helichrysum gymnocephalum) essential oil adds a warm, herbal, slightly honeyed scent. Vitamin E rounds it out. The texture is firm in the tin and melts on contact with warm skin into a glossy, protective layer that leaves dry patches feeling soft and comfortable for hours. There are no parabens, sulphates, synthetic fragrance or fillers. It is a traditional balm rather than a light lotion, so a little goes a long way.
How to use
Warm a small amount between the fingertips and massage into dry areas – hands, cuticles, heels, elbows, knees – as often as needed, and especially after washing or before bed. Keep away from the eyes. Contains essential oil; patch-test first and avoid during pregnancy unless your midwife or doctor is happy with it.
