SMEAL Amino Acid Chelated Iron is a hair-focused nutritional tablet, 16 tablets per box, delivering 25mg amino-acid chelated iron with 5200mcg biotin, keratin, silicon, zinc and five fruit powders, for adults who want an iron and biotin habit alongside their haircare.
What it does
Each 0.5g tablet provides 25mg of amino-acid chelated iron, a form chosen for gentle absorption, together with 5200mcg biotin, 20mg keratin, 5mg silicon chelate and 5mg zinc oxide, plus vitamins C, B6 and B12. Iron contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue; biotin and zinc contribute to the maintenance of normal hair; vitamin C increases iron absorption. A blend of five fruit powders rounds out the formula: acerola cherry, raspberry, elderberry, blackberry and blood orange, which bring natural vitamins and polyphenols. It is a once-daily tablet taken with warm water, with a three-year shelf life.
How to use
Adults take one tablet daily with warm water. Leave a two-hour gap from milk, tea, coffee, soy milk or medicines, as these can reduce iron absorption. Do not exceed the stated dose. Not a substitute for a varied diet.
Who it's for
Adults who want an iron and biotin supplement to support hair that looks stronger. Darker stools can occur with iron supplements and are normal. Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women or under-18s unless advised by a doctor.
