What it does

The Light Shield delivers five wavelengths in a single session: 605nm and 630nm to 660nm visible red light, 850nm near-infrared and QuasarMD's 1,072nm wavelength. Each works on the skin at a different depth, so one cycle covers tone, texture and the look of firmness together. The mask is made from flexible silicone that follows the contours of the face, weighs under 300g and runs from a rechargeable battery via USB-C, so there are no cords to manage. It emits no UV and no significant heat. Used consistently, skin looks smoother, more even and more radiant. The box includes the mask, an adjustable strap, a USB charging cable, a storage pouch and a quick-start guide.

How to use

Cleanse and pat dry. Position the mask over the face and fasten the strap. Switch on; the device runs a ten-minute cycle and shuts off automatically. Remove, massage in any serum and follow with moisturiser. Use three to five times a week, morning or evening. Avoid direct eye exposure, use protective goggles if light-sensitive, and follow the manual.
