What it does
Papain is a proteolytic enzyme, which means it breaks down protein — specifically the keratin holding dead surface cells in place. That's a different mechanism from acids, which work by lowering pH, or scrubs, which work by friction. Because enzymes act selectively on cells already dead, the mask lifts dullness without disturbing living skin, so there's no stinging and no flaking afterwards. Honey hydrates, safflower seed oil softens, vitamin E adds antioxidant protection, and orange flower gives it a light natural scent. Skin looks brighter and feels smoother straight away.
How to use
Apply a thin even layer to clean skin, including the neck if you wish. Leave for up to 20 minutes. To remove, massage a small amount of Jan Marini Clean Zyme over the top to emulsify, wipe away with a damp cloth, then splash with lukewarm water 10 to 15 times. Pat dry and continue your routine. Use one to three times a week.
